===== What is a group? =====
A group allows you to create a set of products. It works as a link between products.
Groups have codes, localized labels and a type.
The type allows specific rules and behaviors to apply to the type of group.
The most example is the type Variant. This type has specific properties : “Axis”.
Axis are attributes used as variation of the Variant group.
For example, for a group “Dress” with the type ‘Variant’, we can have two axis of variation : Color and Size.
That means all products in this group should be with a unique combination of values for Color and Size : Yellow/S, Yellow/M, Red/S, Red/M, ….
If you try to add another product with the same combination of axis, an error message will display to inform you that adding of the product is not possible.
You can then list products that have been added in a particular group.
Products can be part of several groups.

You can click a group to see a list of all products that are in this group, and jump to the Group edit form. You can also:

  * List all groups in the catalog and create, edit and delete groups.
  * Search for products that have been given a particular group (use the ‘Group’ filter of the products grid).
  * Add/Remove products to groups in the group edit form.
